Lola spent 25 years working for the State of California as a Clerical Supervisor for the Department of Rehabilitation. her husband Donald died in 1984. lola retired in 1989 and spent many happy years with her children and grandchildren. She was an active member of the community, especially with the Ventura El Camino Women's Club, where she enjoyed being a member of the "Red Hat Society", playing Bunco, and volunteering for many worthy causes. Of particular, was restoring the El Camino Real Bells up and down the Southern California Coast.
She had immense pride for her children and grandchildren and loved them all dearly. She was always the first to offer a helping hand, or anything she could to help a member of her family; which included various family friends, never expecting anything in return. She always gave the best hugs and made sure that anyone coming into her home felt warm and welcome. Lola was a die-hard Dodger fan and enjoyed watching and attending the games and vigorously cheering "Go Blue"! One of her most favorite activities was attending Dodger games with her daughter Ellen and son-in-law Craig. She was always on the go and loved to travel making trips all over the world including Hong Kong, China, Korea, Mexico and her most favorite, Hawaii. Her favorite trips were also to Minnesota, visiting all of Don's "Polish" family. She will be remembered by friends and family as sweet, kind, loving and generous person of great importance in their lives, but mostly feisty and full of spunk and life.
