
Worcester - Christine C. (Spencer) Laplume, 67, of Worcester, died on Wednesday, January 22nd in Saint Vincent Hospital after a short illness.
Christine was married to Alexis J. “Jack” Laplume Jr. who died on April 10, 2013. She is survived by her two daughters, Michelle Ducharme and her husband Mark and Danielle Gleason and her husband Ron all of Auburn; her mother, Marguerite (Mullaney) Spencer; a brother, Kevin Spencer; a sister, Shirley Mandella all of Worcester, 4 grandchildren, Alesia Gleason, Jessica Gleason, Tyler Ducharme and Hannah Ducharme; 2 great grandchildren, Declan and Emma and many nephews and nieces.
Mrs. Laplume was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Robert O. Spencer and is also predeceased by a sister, Roberta A. Spencer, who died in 2010. She is a graduate of Saint Peter’s High School and worked for 27 years for TJ Maxx Company in the distribution center. She was a member of Local 313, New England Joint Board Unite Here.
Christine enjoyed walking, taking trips to Hampton Beach with Jack, going to the casino and was an avid New England Patriots fan.. She enjoyed many things, but was happiest when she was spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The funeral will be held on Monday, January 27th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a mass at 11:30 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church 1222 Main St. Burial will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery. A calling hour will be held on Monday, from 9 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen Street Framingham, MA 01701.
