Horace S. "Harry" Cotugno, 92, peacefully entered Heaven's gates on January 21st 2014, surrounded by his family.
He is Lovingly survived by his wife Antonina. Beloved son of the late Salvatore and Josephine Cotugno. Devoted father of Stephen Cotugno & long time girlfriend Joanne Speranza and Maria Petrillo and her husband Paolo Petrillo of South Boston and Lawrence Cotugno. Dear brother of Janet and Carmella Cotugno of South Boston, Anthony Cotugno & his wife Madeline of Weymouth. Loving brother of the late Stephen, Lawrence & Joseph Cotugno. Also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews.
Harry was a talented man who enjoyed working with his hands. He excelled at woodworking and sketched occasionally. He also enjoyed trips to Italy to visit extended family. Harry was known for his calm demeanor and sense of humor. He made us laugh as he told a joke which was always accompanied by his charming signature half-smile.
He will sorely be missed.
Family and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours at the Casper Funeral Home, 187 Dorchester Street, South Boston on Monday, January 27, from 4-8 PM. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Brigid's Church, South Boston, Tuesday, January 28, at 11:30 AM.
Retired employee of the U.S. Postal Service; U.S. Army Aircorp Veteran of WWII, he was a member of the "Mighty Eighth Airforce," 379th Bomber Group in Kimbolton England.
Interment, Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne
