
ATKINSON, NH: Kathryn M. (Andersen) Paradis, 87, died Saturday, January 18, 2014 in the Salemhaven Nursing Home with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late John A. Paradis.
Born in Worcester, Massachusetts on April 3, 1926, she was the daughter of the late David and Helen I. (Aldrich) Andersen. She was a resident of Auburn for many years and was a graduate of Auburn High School. Upon graduating from high school she moved to Haverhill and then to Atkinson in 1961. She was a member of the Atkinson Congregational Church for over fifty years. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, needlepoint and crocheting. Kathryn relished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. Her family will hold close to their heart all the warm memories that they have of her.
She is survived by her six children, David Quinney and his wife, Lai of Portland, ME, Glenn Quinney and his wife, Carol of Chester, NH, Karleen Howard of Atkinson, NH, Kathleen Talbot and her husband, Curtis of Goodyear, AZ, Kendra Bisson and her husband, Dennis of Rollinsford, NH and Karolyn Thomas and her husband, Russell Squillante of Henderson, NV; eleven grandchildren, David Jr., Kevin, Shaun, Andrew, Stephanie, Joshua, Michelle, Jason, Alyssa, Tyler and Janelle; nine great-grandchildren and four step-children, Donna, Diane, David, Debbie and their families. She was also predeceased by her stepdaughter, Denise.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2014 in the Linnehan-Grondin Funeral Home, 129 Kenoza Avenue, Haverhill from 5 – 8 p.m. A funeral service for Kathryn will be held on Friday, January 24, 2014 in the Atkinson Congregational Church, 101 Main Street/Rte. 121 in Atkinson, NH at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Kathryn’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472 or to the New Hampshire Association for the Blind, 25 Walker Street, Concord, NH 03301.
