Paul Clark, 80, of South Dartmouth died January 21, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness.
He was the husband of Sally A. (Fogarty) Clark.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late James and Catherine (McHugh) Clark, he had lived in Dartmouth for the last 40 years.
He was an active parishioner of St. Mary's Church in South Dartmouth, where he was a lector, Eucharistic Minister and a member of the St. Vincent dePaul Society. He was a recipient of the Marian Medal. He was involved with the Social Concerns Ministry.
Mr. Clark was formerly employed as an installer repairman with New England Telephone/AT&T for many years until his retirement, after which he was employed by Village Telephone.
He served in the U.S. Army Military Police Corps. during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Clark was a member of the New Bedford Protective Society and enjoyed volunteering at the Solanus Casey Food Pantry in New Bedford. He looked forward to his Thursday morning meetings with his telephone friends.
He and his wife enjoyed traveling for many years.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter Kathleen Boren and her husband Edward of East Freetown; 3 sons, Paul M. Clark of Brooklyn, NY, Kevin Clark of Lake Worth, FL, and John Clark and his wife Emily of Littleton, MA; 4 grandchildren, Jared Boren, Gwyneth Boren, Fiona Boren and Jack Clark; a brother, Robert Clark and his wife Betty of New Bedford; 3 nephews and their families.
He was the brother of the late Rev. James Clark and John A. Clark.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM in St. Mary's Church, South Dartmouth. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday from 4-8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
