Albert C. DiMinico, a longtime Somerville resident, died Wednesday at home, surrounded by a loving family. He was 84.
Mr. DiMinico was born in Boston, the son of the late Charles and the late Assunta (DiChiara) DiMinico. Albert served in the Army during World War II and saw action in the European Theatre, from the beaches of Normandy through to Germany. He worked in the construction industry and was a member of laborers union Local 151.
He was the beloved husband of Ann E. (Zecchilli). He was a devoted father to Albert DiMinico of Woburn, Anthony DiMinico of Germany, Robert DiMinico of Walpole, and Steven DiMinico of Medford. He was a loving grandfather to 6 grandchildren and a dear brother to Carmela Barrasso and Anthony DiMinico of Medford.
Friends and family may visit Friday from 4 thru 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered in St. Catherine Of Genoa Church, Somerville, Saturday, at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
