Steven Saint-Aubin, 61, of Swansea, died January 19, 2014, at home peacefully after a long courageous battle with Glioblastoma.
He was the husband of Cynthia A. (Zimmerman) Poyant.
Born in New Bedford, the son of Barbara (Breen) Saint-Aubin of Dartmouth and the late George A.D. Saint-Aubin, he lived in New Bedford most of his life before moving to Swansea 12 years ago.
Steven was employed as a Nurse Anesthetist most recently at Charlton Memorial Hospital until his retirement in 2012.
He enjoyed photography, snowboarding, kayaking, cycling and travel. Steven was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was proud of his Irish heritage and obtained his Irish passport as a dual citizen in 2010.
Survivors include his wife; his mother; 2 daughters, Stephanie Saint-Aubin and Caitlin Saint-Aubin, M.D., both of Rumford, RI; 2 sisters, Linda DesRoches of Florida and Patricia Saint-Aubin and her husband Ralph Greggs of Norfolk, MA; his former wife, Andrea (Saunders) Saint-Aubin of New Bedford; and 2 grandchildren, Olivia and Theodore Saint-Aubin.
His Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 11 AM in the Seaman's Bethel, 15 Johnny Cake Hill, New Bedford.
