Edward C. Donohue of Natick died on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at the St. Patrick Manor of Framingham.
Born in Boston, son of the late Edward & Helen (Doyle) Donohue, he was a veteran of WWII and served in both the Atlantic & Pacific Theatres on board the troop transport W.H. Gordon.
After the war, Ed & Mary settled in Natick and raised their family. Ed worked as a sales manager with the Dictaphone Corp. of Boston. When he retired after thirty years, Ed & Mary opened an employment agency Quest Personnel in Natick for twenty years.
Ed was a talented portrait & landscape artist who loved golf, skiing, snow mobiling, sailing, motor boating, water skiing, ballroom dancing and all things outdoors-A Great Guy!!
He is survived by his beloved wife of sixty-nine years & best friend Mary (Gormley) Donohue, his dear daughter Nancy Hause & his son-in-law David of Hopedale, his dear sons Robert Donohue of N. Attleboro & his companion Mary Daniels, Dan Donohue of Worcester & Ted Donohue of Natick.
He was predeceased by his sons Richard & Paul Donohue. He is also survived by ten cherished grandchildren & five great grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 44 E. Central St., Natick on Thursday, January 23rd at 10:00AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited.
Interment in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne with Military Honors.
