Obituary

WEBSTER – Raymond A. Lussier, 81, of 16 McGovern Lane, died Monday, Oct. 11, in Lowell General Hospital as the result of a motor vehicle accident in Tyngsboro. His brother, Leo Lussier of Long Beach, CA, also died in the accident. His wife of 44 years, Celeste M. (Doucette) died in 1992.

He leaves a daughter, Elizabeth L. Gray of Woodstock, CT; 2 sons, Charles R. Lussier of Lake Mary, FL, and Thomas J. Lussier of The Philippines; 3 sisters, Pauline Dubois of Lowell, Anita Pelletier of Hillsboro, NH, and Yvette Comtois of Nashua, NH; 5 grandchildren, Nicole Gray, Angela, Bethany, Gabriel and Caleb Lussier; nephews and nieces. A brother, Pete Lussier of Lowell, predeceased him.

He was born and raised in Lowell, the oldest child of Arthur and Cecile (Lemieux) Lussier.He lived in Brooklyn, CT, for several years before moving to Webster over 30 years ago. He graduated from Lowell High School and Bentley Business School.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Mr. Lussier was an accountant at American Standard Company in Plainfield, CT, and then at Tri-Valley Elder Services in Worcester, retiring in 1988.

He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and a longtime volunteer for its Saint Vincent de Paul Society. He was an adorer and captain at the Blessed Sacrament Chapel.

The funeral will be held Friday, October 15, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., witha Mass at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main St. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Calling hours are from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, Oct. 14, in the funeral home.Memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o Sacred Heart Parish, 18 East Main St, Webster, MA 01570
