Carolyn Elouise Belk, age 74, of Douglas, GA passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2014, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Belk was born on September 11, 1939, in Ashburn, GA to the late Raymond Lester Wood and Thelma Rutherford Wood.
Survivors include: her three daughters, Teresa Dorlene Moore of Douglas, GA, Debbie (James) Boggan of Ambrose, GA, and Lisa (Randy) Ryles of Douglas, GA, two sons, Mike (Margaret) Belk and Glen (Myra) Belk both of Douglas, GA, two stepchildren, Bobby (Nan) Belk and Jhritta Belk both of Dothan, AL, three brothers, Ronnie Wood of Douglas, GA, R.L. Wood of Atlanta, GA, and Bill Wood of Jacksonville, FL, sister, Ginger Foskey of Macon, GA, fifteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lynn Belk.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 from 6-9 pm.
Graveside Services will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Douglas City Cemetery with Rev. Robert “Chip” Woodruff officiating.
