Obituary

Mrs. Eileen M. (Flynn) Morrisroe, a lifelong resident of Andover and beloved wife of 65 years of Lawrence P. Morrisroe, died at her home, peacefully, on Thursday evening, January 16, 2014. She was 93 years old.
Born in Natick, Massachusetts, on September 11, 1920, Eileen was the beloved daughter of the late William F. and Ida (Stein) Flynn. Mrs. Morrisroe was a graduate of Andover's Punchard High School and was a lifelong communicant of St. Augustine Church in Andover. In her spare time, Eileen loved to listen to music, especially the Opera. She also enjoyed gardening around her home, decorating and watching birds. She was also an avid Red Sox fan. Above all, Eileen enjoyed spending time with her beloved family and friends.

Besides her beloved husband, Lawrence, she will be very sorely missed by her loving children; Patricia Morrisroe and her husband Lee Stern of New York City, Marie and her husband Dr. Victor Tenenbaum of New York City and Nancy Morrisroe and her husband Mark Slater of Boston, two granddaughter's; Allegra Tenenbaum of New York City and Isabel Slater of Boston and two nieces; Nancy Gatti of Maine and Marlyn Murray of Florida. She was also the loving sister of the late Joseph Patrick Flynn.
Her funeral mass was celebrated in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover on Monday, January 20, 2014, at noon. Many relatives and friends were in attendance. Calling hours were held on Saturday, January 18, 2014, from 4 to 6 PM in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover. Interment was in the St. Augustine Cemetery in Andover.
