Worcester – Florence A. (Richford) Benoit, 80, of Worcester, died on Thursday, January 9th in UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus.
Florence was married to the late Roger E. Benoit who died in 1989. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Nancy Fortin of Florida and Tammy Sasse of Worcester; a brother, Donald Richford; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Mrs. Benoit was born in Clinton, daughter of the late Oscar and Florence Richford.
She was employed at Memorial Hospital for over 18 years in the food service department until her retirement. Florence was fond of hummingbirds and also loved to crochet, knit and play bingo.
Friends and family are invited to gather from 5:30 – 7PM on Thursday, January 16th with a memorial service at 7PM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Memorial contributions in memory of Florence may be made to St. Peter’s Church 929 Main Street Worcester, MA 01610 to help fund the Saint Vincent de Paul Society’s charitable works.
