Andrew Joseph Condrad Sr., of Brunswick, Maryland, passed away Monday, January 13, 2014, at Frederick Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born December 18, 1937, in Blakely, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Andrew and Alice Rudalavage Condrad. He was the husband of Bonnie Condrad, who preceded him in death in 1981.
He was a graduate of Blakely High School, served in the Army National Guard and attended Penn State University. He retired from Fairchild Industries after 28 years. He enjoyed spending his summers at Shore Forest Campground and spending time with his family, especially his dogs, Moose and Bart. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi/St. Mary's Catholic Church.
He is survived by three children, Cheryle Gregory and husband, Richard, of Mount Airy, Md.; Andrew Condrad Jr. of Brunswick, Md.; and Andrea Ganovski and husband, James, of Libertytown, Md. He was the proud grandfather of three grandchildren, Kimberlee Catalano (who was his "Princess") and husband, Robert of Mahopac, N.Y.; Jason Gregory of Mount Airy, Md.; and Kristina Reynolds of Libertytown, Md.; as well as one great-grandchild, Robert Catalano Jr. of Mahopac, N.Y. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Thomas Condrad and Leonard Condrad; and a sister, Rita Tremmel.
The funeral will be Friday from the Michael P. Glinsky Funeral Home, 129 Grant St., Olyphant, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick's Church, Olyphant, Pa.
