Obituary

Meaghan Taylor McGrath, 21, of Bellingham, passed early Sunday morning January 12, 2014 following a motor vehicle accident. She is a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, and a friend to many. She is survived by her parents, Robin and Larry McGrath of Bellingham, sister Caitlin McGrath Fisher and husband Brian of Scituate, and sister Lauren McGrath of Bellingham. She is the granddaughter of Dorothy and the late Theodore Hariton of Bellingham, and the late John and Patricia McGrath of Quincy. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.
Enrolled at Bryant University studying Actuarial Science, she was beginning a new transition from having studied Mathematics at University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she spent over two years.
An avid snowboarder, equestrian, and cellist, Meaghan often spent her days seeking to meet new people and share new experiences. She spread love and light to everyone she met, and continues to touch the lives of countless people. Meaghan is a passionate advocate for the support of orphaned elephants, and she fostered elephants through The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Fostering Program.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 17 at the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin from 5 - 8 p.m.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18 at the East Douglas Methodist Church, Douglas, MA at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be private.
