James Edward Clark, 65, of Tifton died Monday, January 13, 2014, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2014, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Dr. Danny Ray will officiate with a eulogy to be given by Danny Smith. Burial will follow in Omega Cemetery. His nephews, Clint Clark, Clay Clark, Michael McFarland, Brandon McFarland, Danny Dixon, Brandon Carter, Lee Clark, Craig Clark, Jamie McFarland, Timmy McFarland, Stacey Gunn, Charles Lee, Bradley Haas and Brandon Clark will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 17, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Clark was born on March 31, 1948 in Baxley and was the son of Doris A. Courson Clark of Kingsland and the late William Henry Clark. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Allen Clark. He was retired from Albany Water, Gas and Light. He was an avid fisherman and loved the Georgia Bulldogs.
Mr. Clark is survived by his wife, Rose Marie McFarland Clark of Tifton; his children and their spouses, Debby and McL Carter of Saint Marys, Darby and Joanna Clark of Kingsland, Aaron and Raquel Parks of Tifton, Heather Walker of Tifton and Brett and Amanda Clark of Tifton; one brother and sister-in-law, Edgar and Trudy Clark of Blackshear; one sister and brother-in-law, Lynda C. and John Simpson of Jacksonville, Florida; eight grandchildren, Brandon Carter, Brittney Carter (John Pine), Clint Clark (Kayla), Clay Clark, MacKenzie Parks, Breanna Parks, Camden Clark and Keeton Clark; and eleven nieces.
