Charles M. Christos, 90, of 85 Klebart Ave. passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family.
His late beloved wife of 60 years, Loucia (Chito) Christos died March 5, 2012. He leaves 2 daughters; Evelyn C. wife of Sam S. Pappas and Dhimitra H. wife of Angelo Adamopoulos all of Webster, 5 grandchildren; Stephen, Chuck, Jimmy, Nicholas, and Loucia, 5 great grandchildren; Michael, Spiro, Alex, Stella, and Maximos.
Mr. Christos was born in Albania, son of Mina and Dhimitra (Mici) Christos and came to the United States February 15, 1945. He married his wife March 11, 1951. Charlie worked at the former Stevens Linen Associates in Dudley and retired at the age of 50 to manage his many properties of which he owned. He was a member of Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, a former member of the church council and a former member of A.H.E.P.P.A., Charlie enjoyed spending the winters in Florida with his wife for over 20 years and loved to sit in the sun and relax and smoking his pipe and cigars until he died and having a shot of ‘Tsiparo’ every night.
Charlie also loved being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family would like to Monica for all the care she gave Charlie during this past year.
Calling Hours will be Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 4PM to 8 PM at Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 37 Lake Parkway. A Trisagion Service will be Thursday at 7PM in the church..
The Funeral Service will be Friday, January 17, 2014 at 10 AM at Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 37 Lake Parkway, burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery next his beloved wife Loucia.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to: Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, P.O. Box 713, Webster, MA. 01570.
The Robert J. Miller Funeral Home and Lake Chapel, 366 School St. has been selected and honored to assist Charlie’s family with arrangements.
