ROY ERIC LUNDIN, of Providence, RI, a Hingham resident from 1942 until 1967, died on Oct. 11th at his home in Providence after a long illness. He was 64. Born in Quincy, Mr. Lundin was raised and educated in Hingham, graduating from Hingham High School in 1958. He was a Vietnam Era veteran in the U.S. Navy serving from 1958 to 1960. He then graduated from Northeastern University and worked as an accountant for Turner Construction Co. in Boston for over 25 years. Because of his work, Mr. Lundin lived in Connecticut, New York, Kuwait and New Hampshire before moving to Providence two years ago.Mr. Lundin was a member of the Boston Gay Mens Chorus, The Stenkil Lodge # 92 in Braintree and was a former member of Hingham DeMolay.He was the son of the late Eric V. Lundin and the late Frances V. (Turner) Lundin.He leaves his sister, Karen L. Lawn of Rockland and brother, David F. Lundin of Hingham. Nephew of Nils Lundin of Norwell. Also survived by several nieces, nephews,great nieces, great nephews and his close friends, William Hurley and Wayne Gowdy.A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, Oct. 15th at 10 AM at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham.Visiting hours at the Downing Chapel on Thursday evening from 4-8 PM.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society,30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.The interment will be in the Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
