Estelle Carver, age 77, of St. George, GA passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2014, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Carver was born on June 26, 1936, in Fitzgerald, GA to the late Andrew Jackson Akins and Henrietta Susanna Barrs Akins.
Survivors include: her two daughters, Mary Ann Carver of St. George, GA and Kathy Carver (Dale) Emery of Jacksonville, FL, son, Felton L. (Mercedes) Carver of Jacksonville, FL, two sisters, Mary Douglas of Richmond Hill, GA and Lorena Spivey of Callahan, FL, brother, Andrew Jackson Akins of Alabama, four grandchildren, Roger Emery, Jonathan Emery, Joseph Emery, David Emery, Ann Hellwege, and Joell Rodriguez, twelve great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Felton Carver.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 13, 2014 from 9 till 10:30 am.
Graveside Services will be held on Monday, January 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Vickers Rural Cemetery with Rev. Marshall Adcock officiating.
