Olga C. Mucciarone 92 of Franklin, MA passed away January 10 at the Maples Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center in Wrentham, MA where she had resided since June, 2011. Prior to her stay at Maples she had resided at Whitcomb House assisted living facility for 2 years. She was the wife of the late Anthony P. Mucciarone. They had been married for 56 years.
Born in Franklin, January 16, 1921 she was the oldest daughter to the late Pietro and Rina (Cescato) Gazzola of Alpine Place, Franklin. She attended public schools in Franklin and graduated from Franklin High School in the class of 1938. She was a lifetime resident of Franklin, and a communicant of St. Mary’s Church.
During her lifetime she worked at many different area locations as a seamstress. Her last employment was with Whiting & Davis Co.
She enjoyed playing card games, bingo, was an avid New England Patriots fan, and loved the beach. She enjoyed cooking and visiting with her family and many lifelong friends. Her greatest love was for her family.
She is survived by her two sons, Ronald Mucciarone and wife Linda of Fort Mill, SC and Robert Mucciarone and wife Maria of Franklin, MA. She was the grandmother to four grandsons, Michael (and his wife Heather) of South Carolina, Nicholas (and his wife Melissa) also of South Carolina, Jason (and his wife Jody) of Iowa, and Joshua Mucciarone of Mississippi. She also is survived by four great-grandchildren (Sophia, Evan, Owen Mucciarone and Devin Sodeman).
She is also survived by her sister, Flora Pellegri of Franklin and her sister-in-law Marilyn Gazzola. She was the sister of the late Daniel F. Gazzola.
She is also survived by her 1st cousin Yolanda Boyle, and many nieces and nephews of the Gazzola and Pellegri families who loved her.
The family would like to thank Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, for their outstanding care and support given to us.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 14 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com ) 131 Main Street Franklin at Noon.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Franklin.
Visitation will be in the funeral home of Tuesday from 11:00-Noon.
