Clinton C. Dunston, 23, of New Bedford was risen to glory October 6, 2004 at Rhode Island Hospital.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, son of Pinkey D. Dunston of Baltimore, MD, and Clinton C. Cargil of New York City, he lived in Brooklyn and Baltimore before moving to New Bedford in 1995.
He was a member of Union Baptist Church in New Bedford.
Clinton was a graduate of New Bedford High School where he was a standout athlete in football and track. He later attended Central Connecticut State University where he was a standout athlete in football. He played youth baseball and football.
Clinton enjoyed playing with his son, music and writing poems.
Survivors include his parents; a son, Clinton C. Dunston, Jr. of New Bedford; a brother, Justin Dunston of Baltimore; a sister, Michelle Dunston of Baltimore; his stepfather, Justin Medrano of Costa Rica; his companion, Sara M. Sylvia, her parents, George and Sue Sylvia, and their daughter, Emma Sylvia, all of New Bedford; his paternal grandmother, Josephine Cargil of New York; 2 aunts, Hazel R. Guilford of New York City and Lucy L. Barnes of North Carolina; and a host of cousins, family and friends.
His private Funeral Service was held on Monday, October 11th in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals.
