Lillian Voyzie (Thompson) Costa, 88, of Westport died Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth. She was wife of the late Antone Costa.
Born in Detroit, TX, daughter of the late Charles H. and Lillian May (Griggs) Thompson, she had lived in Westport since 1946. Mrs. Costa was the owner / operator of Costa’s Vegetable Stand in Westport and she was a school teacher at the Westport Elementary School for 27 years.
Survivors include a son: Paul H. Costa of Westport; 2 daughters: Lillian V. Burbank and her husband Howard of Westport and Ann Thomas of Bridgewater, MA; 4 grandchildren: Karen Burbank and her husband Bradford Fairbanks, Anthony Burbank, Danise Thomas and Lynn Rayner; 3 great grandchildren: Samantha Rayner, Alexander Rayner and George Fairbanks; and several nieces and nephews.
She was mother of the late Michael L. Costa and sister of the late Wayne Thompson, Herbert Thompson and Mamie Honeycutt Edwards.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, January 13, 2014 at the Potter Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Sunday 1-4 P.M.
Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
