NATICK: Calvin L. “Bucky” Meisner, III., age 66, longtime owner and operator of C.L. Meisner Plumbing and Heating, died on Sunday afternoon, January 5th, 2014, at the MetroWest Medical Center in Natick. He was the devoted husband of Marion A. (Crawford) Meisner for forty six-years.
Born in Waltham and raised in Newton, he was the son of Dorothy (Grabowski) and the late Calvin L. Meisner. He entered the plumbing trade after attending schools in Wayland and Newton.
Bucky worked in the plumbing and heating business for 44 years. In 1982, he established himself in Natick, and worked on his own until joined by his son Jeffrey in 1995.The business continues to flourish to this day. He and Marion enjoyed traveling with friends and owned a vacation home in Wilton, Maine. A doting grandfather, Bucky would do all he could to get to sporting events and various celebrations. A loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend, he will be sorely missed.
He is survived by Marion, their three sons, Christopher L. Meisner and wife Carolyn of Bellingham, Brian A. Meisner and wife Maria of Holliston, and Jeffrey S. Meisner and wife Anne of Natick; nine grandchildren, Jake, Caitlyn, Marie, Jeffrey Jr., Molly, Gianna, Collin, Madelyn, and Anthony; his mother, Dorothy Meisner of Natick; a sister, Sandra Blaise and husband Peter of Stonington, CT; a brother, Kenneth Meisner and wife Cynthia of Natick; his father-in-law, Gene Crawford of Medford; a brother-in-law, John Crawford and wife Beth of Douglas; a sister-in-law, Pamela Hunt of Holliston; and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his brother, Kevin Meisner, and mother-in-law, Anne Crawford.
Relatives and friends may visit with Bucky’s family at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, Natick, on Saturday 2 – 5p.m.
Burial will be private.
