Obituary

Lillian Marie (Baribeau) Brosnan, 96, of Manchester, longtime resident of Lynn, MA died January 6, 2014.
Born in Lynn on November 18, 1917, she was the daughter of Willie and Gilda (Paradie) Baribeau.
Lil grew up in Amherst, NH and was educated in the Cricket Corner one room school house, before graduating from Amherst High School.
She moved to Lynn at the age of 18 and was employed at the General Electric plant for 36 years. There she built small weather instruments for the Mount Washington Observatory. She met her husband John at the G.E. plant and the two were happily married for 45 years prior to his death in 1999.
For the past 10 years, she has resided at St. Teresa’s Health Care Center in Manchester.
Family members include her sister, Lucille Provencher and her husband Lenny of Hooksett; her brother, George Baribeau of Hudson, NH; her sister-in-law, Helen Baribeau of Newburyport, MA. She was the beloved and devoted aunt and Godmother to many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Leon Albert Baribeau and her brothers-in-law, Father Tom and Dan Brosnan.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Friday, January 10, 2014 in the chapel of Mt. Carmel Nursing Home, 235 Myrtle St, Manchester. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lynn, MA will be at a later date.
