Obituary

Melbourne, FL – Nina E. (Adams) Blades, 90, of Lake Waterford Way, Melbourne, FL, formerly of Sakonnet Point Road, Little Compton, RI died Thursday, October 7, 2004 at Atlantic Shores Nursing Home, Melbourne, FL. She was the wife of the late Roy B. Blades.

Mrs. Blades was born in East Pubnico, Nova Scotia, Canada, daughter of the late Thomas E. and Inez S. (Blades) Adams, and had resided in Little Compton for many years prior to moving to Florida. She was a member of the Little Compton United Congregational Church. Prior to her retirement in 1990, she was a waitress at Fo’c’sle in Little Compton for over 40 years. She was a member of the Social Rebekah Lodge #11 of Little Compton, American Legion Auxiliary #37 of Little Compton, Little Compton Grange # 32 and Little Compton Senior Citizens.

Survivors include 3 grandchildren: Richard Blades of RI, Lisa Medeiros of FL and Donna Cardelli of VT; and 4 great grandchildren.

She was the sister of the late George Adams and Ernest Adams.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Thursday, October 14, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. at Little Compton United Congregational Church, Little Compton.

Calling hours Wednesday 5 – 8 P.M. at the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Rd., Westport.

Interment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Tiverton.
