Obituary

Thomas J. Houlihan of Needham died suddenly at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday October 10, 2004. He was 74 years old. Mr. Houlihan was a U.S. Air Force Korean War veteran. He was the owner of the former Fire Eye Control, formerly of Newton. He retired in 1995 from the Needham Public Schools as the Director of Buildings and Grounds. In his spare time, Mr. Houlihan was an avid golfer. The beloved husband for over 50 years of Delpha Marie (Hughes), he was the devoted father of Thomas and his wife Bonnie Houlihan of Green Bay WI, Patricia Houlihan and her husband Richard Skinner of Jacksonville FL, Karen Silvia and her husband Rodney of Martha’s Vineyard, Diana Houlihan of Sanbornville NH and Kevin and his wife Diane Houlihan of Franklin. He was the brother of Robert Houlihan of Wareham and Mary Ford of Venice Fl and the cherished “Papa” of 6 grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Avenue Needham on Wednesday October 13 at 9:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Bartholomew Church at 10:00. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 4-7 PM. Interment Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Needham.
