Bobby Lynn Brower, age 78, died Saturday, January 04, 2014 at Grenada Living Center in Grenada, MS. He was born October 17, 1935 in the Pine Valley Community of Yalobusha County, MS to the late Dewitt Talmadge and Vera Louise Langham Brower. Bobby was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Yalobusha County, MS. He worked at various occupations over the years, including owning his own trucking company. But Bobby was best known for his farming abilities, raising and selling produce, pumpkins and watermelons throughout Mississippi and surrounding states.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm on January 6, 2014 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 1:30 pm in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. James Edwards officiating. Burial will be in the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery with Michael Ingram, George Robert Fly, Noel Hughes, Robert Earl Upchurch, Jeff Collomp, Marty Criddle, Shawn Hughes and Shawn Davis serving as pallbearers.
Bobby is survived by his daughter, Lisa Brower Smith of Brandon, MS; two sons, Roger Brower of Water Valley, MS and Tracy Brower of Coffeeville, MS; one sister, Betsy Ann Brower Collomp of Jonesboro, AR; a sister-in-law, Barbara Brower of Coffeeville, MS; five grandchildren, Gary Winburn, Justin Winburn, Ashley Winburn, Crystal Brower, and Bobby Allen Brower; and eleven great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie H. Brower; his brother, James Dewitt “Jimmy” Brower; his granddaughter, Lacey Marie Brower; and his great-grandson, Austin Winburn.
