PROVIDENCE, RI… Leo F. Burns, Jr., 76, of Fall River passed away Friday, January 3, 2014 at Rhode Island Hospital.
He was the husband of Donna M. (Carvalho) Burns.
Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Leo F., Sr. and Ethel (Banks) Burns and had been a lifelong resident of this city.
Mr. Burns was employed as a chemist at the former Millipore Pharmaceutical of Cranston, RI and enjoyed fixing cars, bingo, baseball and shopping.
Along with his wife, survivors include a daughter: Catherine Burns of Fall River, a sister: Mary Lou Viveiros of Somerset, 3 brothers: Thomas Burns of Fall River, Michael Burns of Middletown, RI and Kenneth Burns, his godchild: Lisa Mungeon of Somerset, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Wednesday at 8 AM at SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption, 327 Second St. Fall River. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6 – 8 PM. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
