Obituary

Robert A. "Bob" Plummer, 75, of Derry, NH, died Friday January 3, 2014, at his residence in Derry, NH. Bob was born in Manchester, NH on August 23, 1938, a son of the late Robert N. Plummer and Laura (Jobin) Plummer.

Bob was employed with Ingersol Rand in Nashua for 25 years and worked at Kustom Kars on Central Street in Derry until he became ill. He was a lifelong member of the Halcyon Club and the American Legion Lester Chase Post #9. Bob and his wife, Barbara, loved spending winters in Weeki Wachee Springs in Florida with their many friends. He enjoyed working on cars and time spent with Jake and Duke, his best friends and loyal dogs. Bob was a Veteran of the Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara H. Plummer of Derry; five daughters, Bobbi Jane Plummer, Diane Latimer, Debbie Capozzoli, Deborah Stanclift, Shirley Blackmon; eight sons, Dean Hardy, Doug Hardy, James Hardy, Joe Hardy, Daniel Hardy, Joseph Vance, Ronald Vance and Michael Vance, as well as many others who considered him as Dad. He is also survived by 33 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his children, Denise Patellis and Jon Hardy, and his former wives, Shirley M. Houston Plummer and Jane Wilkins Plummer.

Calling hours were held on Monday, January 6, 2014 from 3:00 to 7:00pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at 11:00am in the funeral home. The burial will be held in the spring in Glenwood Cemetery, Londonderry.
