Mable Jackson Connell, 80, of Tifton died Friday, January 3, 2014, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Jack Perrin will officiate with burial to follow in Tift Memorial Gardens. Ryan Connell, Drew Morgan, Garett Hasty, Noah Hasty and Thomas Butler will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 7, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Connell was born on July 30, 1933 in Cleburne County, Alabama and was the daughter of Clyde Jackson and Jane Benefield Jackson, both deceased. She was a homemaker and a member of Tift Avenue Baptist Church. She had lived in Tifton most of her life.
Mrs. Connell is survived by her husband, Bert Connell of Tifton; one son and daughter-in-law, Elbert Gregory and Sarah Gail Connell of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, April Dawn and Joseph Morgan of Cairo; one sister, Betty Ray of Tifton; six grandchildren, Ryan Connell, Drew Morgan, Joshuah McDonald, Hope Brady, Faith Brady and Daniel Brady; one great-grandson, Elijah White; and a niece and her husband, Denna and Heath Thompson of Excelsior.
