Lowell Alexander “Rex” Smith, 86, passed away Tuesday December 31, 2013 at his home. He was born in Gradyville, KY, a retired truck driver, a member of Miles Masonic Lodge # 341, Army veteran during Korean War and a member of South Jefferson Christian Church. He is survived by his loving wife with whom they celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on the 29th of December, Ina (Coffey) Smith. Also survived by his son, Gary Smith (Kimberly); two granddaughters, Cherie Willis (Chris), Shelby Smith and a great grandson, Jackson Lee Willis; brother, Buford Smith and sister, Mary Sparks. His funeral will be 11 am Saturday at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy with burial at Haven Hill Cemetery in Adair County. Visitation will be 2 pm to 8 pm Friday.
