Obituary

Enid P. (Parsons) Beaton died on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the Wayland Nursing & Rehab. Center. She was eighty-five years old.

Born on August 27, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Joseph & Enid (Partington) Parsons. Enid was born in Boston and raised in Dorchester.

She worked as a schoolteacher and educated children from kindergarten up to the third grade in Chelsea, Dorchester and Wellesley. She was also a substitute teacher for the Natick School System.

Mrs. Beaton was the devoted wife of the late William D. Beaton and together they raised six children of their own and helped foster forty-three children.

She was a woman of strong faith, a member of St. Patrick’s Church of Natick and a resident of Natick for forty-five years.

Enid was all about her family, spending time with her children and was “Mimi” to her fourteen grandchildren and “Mimi the Great” to her fourteen great grandchildren.

She was the loving mother of Gail Keith-Fine & her husband Richard of Natick, William Beaton & his wife Terri of Ashland, Christopher Beaton of Natick, Pamela Harris & her husband Stephen, also of Natick, James Beaton of Wardsboro, VT & Barbara Calkins & her husband Scott of Shrewsbury.

Cherished “Mimi” of Rob Keith, Jon Keith & his wife Lucie Baker, Andrew Fine, Jessica Earl & her husband Nick, Tiffany Duguay & her husband Jason, Amy Latourelle & her husband Mike, Mike Beaton & his wife Dyan, Elizabeth Roche & her husband Scott, Nicholas Sullivan, Nicole Harris, Renee Harris, Jacob Calkins, Noah Calkins & Sam Calkins.

“Mimi the Great” of Emersyn, Addison, Jackson, Xander, Olivia, Phinneas, Brady, Kaylee, Ryan, Matthew, Drew, Dylan, Justin & Camryn.

Also survived by her caring sister Elaine Marzilli of Halifax, Massachusetts and her close friend and caregiver Ann Morris of Natick.

Enid’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held in her beloved St. Patrick’s Church, 44 E. Central St., Natick on Monday, January 6th at 10:00AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited.

Visiting hours will be held in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., at Natick Common on Sunday, January 5th from 2:00-6:00PM. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Natick.

Memorial contributions in Enid’s memory may be made to the Natick Visiting Nurse’s Association, 209 W. Central St., #313, Natick, MA 01760.
