EVERETT FRANK DeWITT, 88, passed away on December 30, 2013.
He was a retired employee of Bluegrass Cooperage, a division of Brown Forman, where he worked for 44 years; and an Army Air Corps and Air Force veteran.
He was preceded in death by his son, Stephen DeWitt; his father Everett DeWitt and stepmother, Virgie DeWitt; his mother, Clara and stepfather Henry Stoltz; and his brother Robert F. DeWitt.
Survivors include his children, Michael DeWitt (Charlotte Jo), Keith DeWitt, Brian DeWitt (Dana), Randall DeWitt, and Patricia Gayle Ballard (Kenny); his companion, Marge Terrell;
17 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren; and his half-brother, Robert DeWitt.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery, Louisville, KY.
Visitation will be from 2 – 9 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. on Thursday.
