Ana Silva, 79, of Methuen passed away Friday December 27th at the Kindred Hospital in Peabody. She was born in the Azores daughter of the late John and Amilia Barcelos and was the wife of the late Eduino Silva who passed away in 1998. Ana stayed at home to take care of her family and in her free time she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, going to church dances at St Peter and Paul in Lawrence, but most of all spending time with her family.
Ana is survived by a son Eddie Silva of Methuen, three daughters Estela Arroyo and her husband Peter of Manchester NH, Elizabeth Silva of Methuen, Margaret Silva of Methuen, a sister Margarita Demorais of Derry NH, five grandchildren Corinne Arroyo, Jason Silva, Melissa Arroyo, Jamie Silva, Kristofer Arroyo, six great grandchildren, and may nieces and nephews. She is also predeceased by a sister Odilia Lima.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Thursday January 2nd from 4-8 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday January 3rd at 9 AM at St Monica's Church in Methuen with burial to follow at St Mary Immaculate Cemetery in Lawrence.
