Wareham – Belmeida (Moniz) Cook, 84, of Little Compton, RI died Thursday, October 7, 2004 at Forestview Nursing Home, Wareham after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Edward S. Cook.
Mrs. Cook was born in Fall River, daughter of the late Manuel S. and Ameila (Branco) Moniz, and had been a lifelong resident of Little Compton. She was a member of the First Baptist (Old Stone) Church, Tiverton. Prior to retirement she was co-owner of Gray’s Store of Adamsville. She bowled with the Little Compton Woman’s Bowling League for many years and enjoyed vacationing in Vermont with her husband and friends.
Survivors include 3 brothers: Joseph S. Moniz of Fall River, John B. Moniz of Charleston, SC and Harry Moniz of Adamsville; and several nieces and nephews.She was the sister of the late Mary S. Donovan, Manuel S. Moniz, Jr. and William Moniz.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday, October 11, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. at First Baptist (Old Stone) Church, Tiverton.
