Obituary

WAYLAND: Anne Ewing McNamara, 62, died peacefully and comfortably surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, December 15, 2013 from complications of a stroke.
She was born in Boston on July 23, 1951 the daughter of the late Clinton S. Ewing and Elenore C. (Chandler) Ewing.
Anne is survived by her devoted and caring husband of 37 years, Robert F. “Bob” McNamara of Wayland.
She was the beloved mother of Lisa A. McNamara of Wayland and Robin E. McNamara of Providence, RI. Grandmother of Luke, Taylor and Jake. Also survived by her brother Richard Ewing of Holliston.
Anne has been a resident of Wayland for the past several years and previously resided in New London, NH. She spent her formative years in Wellesley and was a graduate of Wellesley High School with the Class of 1969. She attended Vermont College and was a graduate of the Youville Hospital School of Nursing. For several years she was a nurse at Youville Hospital and Leonard Morse Hospital. Also, she was a special needs pre-school teacher beginning at the Charles River School and Grace Nursery School both in Needham and then at the James House in New London, NH. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and her family was the center of her life. She enjoyed snow shoeing, cross country skiing, knitting and reading. She was kind, unselfish, very outgoing and dedicated to the happiness of her family.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, her family suggests that memorial gifts in Anne’s memory may be sent to the Fleur de Lis Camp, 120 Howeville Road, Fitzwilliam, NH 03447 and would be greatly appreciated.
