Parson, Mary Thelma (Flaherty), 79, went home to her Lord Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at Summerfield Health & Rehab. Center. Thelma was born in Rodelia, KY to James Claude & Agnes Alberta (Cole) Flaherty. Thelma was a Homemaker and a member of the old St. Clement Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Eugene Flaherty; a sister, Bonnie Flaherty and her husband, James William Parson. Survivors include her son, Mark Parson (Tiffany); a step-daughter, Phyllis Murphy and a step-son, Michael Parson; 3 brothers, Paul (Barbara), Joe (Becky) and Gary Flaherty (Robin); 6 sisters, Joyce Herbert, Chris Blanton (Kenneth), Marlene Kleinhelter, Charlotte Newton (Thomas), Gail Lobred (Joe) and Jackie Wood (Edward); a sister-in-law, Katherine Flaherty, and several nieces & nephews. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Monday at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 5431 Johnsontown Rd., with burial to follow in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 2:00–8:00 PM at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy.
