Margaret L. Pettigrew
May 12, 1918 to Dec. 23, 2013

Margaret (Leland) Jeffrey Pettigrew, 95.6 years, peacefully passed to her eternal heavenly home December 23, 2013. Faithful Christian soul triumphantly entered resplendent everlasting celestial Kingdom. Lifetime Rural Madison County resident, she was born in Elwood, May 12, 1918; parents, Russell and Katherine Jeffrey.

Wise, impeccable, frugal, farm landowner, championed environment, conservation, stewardship; humble, prayerful, temperate, teetotaler, nonagenarian, enthusiastically enjoyed planting, harvesting, gardening, flowers, birds, wildlife, baking, coffee conversation, college theater, endowment, events, church fellowship, spiritual sermons, uplifting, songs, Holy Bible scripture study. Dedicated True believer Good Samaritan Christian loved glorious Sunday morning Worship.

Academic Achievements, 1936 Summitville, 1990 Anderson University graduate, 84 hours seminary. Knowledge equals power! Memorable milestones, 50 year Bible teacher at Saint Matthews United Methodist Church; five decade member of Lafayette Township Homemakers; generous longtime alma mater supporter.

Survivors include sons, Dennis and David, granddaughter, Lindsay, grandson, Logan, joyfully celebrate steadfast matriarchs paradise ascension; special nieces, Linda Miller, Jeanie Showalter, Ann Dabney. Beloved friends, Jerry Palmer, Ron Moore, Jackie Fisher, Linda Jessup, Dianna Priest, Susan Shuter, inspirational mentors, Sterrett Nash, Dorothy Sickal; precious pets, Harriett, Red and Buddy.

She was preceded in death by half century husband, Floyd, siblings, Marian and Donovan.

Service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Flock Shepherd Mark Helm officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to the funeral at the funeral service. Burial will be in Forrestville Cemetery in Summitville, IN.
