Dorothy L. Pelletier, 91

Dateline: Attleboro, MA

Dorothy L. (Tatro) Pelletier, age 91, of Attleboro passed away peacefully, surrounded by the embracing love of her family, on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the Epoch Senior Healthcare in Norton.
Born in Attleboro, MA on March 14, 1922, she was a loving daughter of the late Wilfred L. and Isabel B. (Clarkin) Tatro.
She grew up in Attleboro and was a graduate of Attleboro High School. She furthered her education and graduated from the Springfield School of Nursing where she received her degree as a Registered Nurse.
Prior to retiring, Mrs. Pelletier had last worked as an R.N. at the Ridgewood Court Nursing Home in Attleboro and had previously been employed at the Robbins Co. and the Sturdy Memorial Hospital. She was always especially proud of her first nursing position at the Bedford Veterans Hospital.
A resident of Attleboro for most of her life, Dorothy had also made her home in Norton. She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in Attleboro and while residing in Norton was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church where she was also a member of the Catholic Women’s Club.
Dorothy’s Catholic faith was a major factor in her life and she especially loved being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother,.
She is survived by her loving and devoted children, Judith A. Pelletier of Attleboro, Timothy E. Pelletier and his wife Barbara of Norton and the late Mary Ellen Walker. She was the dear sister of Wilfred D. Tatro and his wife Margaret of Florida and the late Isabel Gustafson and Marjorie Sprague. She is also survived by her dear son in law Bruce Walker of North Attleboro, her cherished grandchildren, Amanda Walker, Andrew Walker, Corey Walker, Jeffrey Anderson and William Anderson, her great granddaughters Azilyne, Kallieh and Alyssa, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Saturday, December 28th at 7:30 A.M. from the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 8:45 A.M. in St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main St., Attleboro. Burial will follow in the Timothy Plain Cemetery, Norton.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, December 27th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home.
In lieu of flower’s, donations in Mrs. Pelletier’s memory may be made to the Patients Activity Fund at the Epoch Senior Healthcare, 184 Mansfield Ave., Norton, MA 02766.
