Dwight Ray Buck, 81, of Anderson died at his residence after an extended illness.
He was born, March 4, 1932 in Fairmount, IN to Ray Elwood and Nellie Mae (Williams) Buck.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
He worked at General Motors for 33 years before retiring in 1988.
He was a former member and deacon of Central Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mildred "Millie" (Tatman) Buck of Anderson whom he married July 10, 1955; two daughters, Teresa Buck and Cynthia "Cindy" (Otis) Wenger of McCordsville; brother, Jay (Joann) Buck and sister Carol Pressler all of Marion; brother-in-law, Michael (Lois) Tatman of Anderson and sister-in-law, Cathy Stewart of Lapel; three grandchildren, Ryan Wenger of McCordsville; Jennifer Wenger of Chicago, IL and Kyle Buck of Anderson; great granddaughter, Anastasia Hendrix of McCordsville and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charles Buck.
Service will be 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 20, at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Ned Clark officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, December 19, 2013 from 4 to 7 P.M. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery with Military graveside rites provided by VFW Post 266 Honor Guard.
