Michael Gargano of Medford, formerly of the North end of Boston died peacefully at the Massachusetts General Hospital on Sunday, October 3, 2004. He was 77 years of age.Michael was born in Italy on May 20, 1927 a son to the late Addolorato and Biondina (Manfredi) Gargano. He was a communicant of the St. Leonard’s Church in Boston. Mr. Gargano was a tailor for several years after graduating from high school. He also was a former lifeguard. Michael was often seen traveling via scooter to go shopping.Michael was a wonderful husband and father and just adored his only granddauther, Felicia. Michael leaves behind his beloved wife Filomena (Viscione) Gargano of Medford, his loving son Frank Gargano of Somerville and his cherished and adored granddaughter, Felicia Gargano of Roslindale. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his devoted brother, Giovanni Gargano.Funeral from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, on Friday, October 8th, 2004 at 8:15 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Leonard’s Church, Prince and Hanover Streets, Boston at 9:45 AM Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
