Obituary

LOWELL—Charles R. Carter, Jr., 56 years old, died early Sunday morning, October 3rd, at the D’Youville Senior Care Center. He was the husband of Madonna (Fitzpatrick) Carter, who survives him.

He was born in Lowell, on August 17, 1948, a son of Charles R. and Sarah M. (Edwinson) Carter, both of Tewksbury, and was a graduate of Lowell Trade School.

Mr. Carter was a member of the Seabees during the Vietnam War. Upon his discharge he was employed as an electrician by the TES, Inc., in Westford. He was a member of the VFW, Walker Rogers Post #662; and former member of the Masons.

Surviving him besides his wife and parents are a daughter: Charlene Carter-Lundy, of North Andover; a son: Christopher R. Carter, of Craftsbury, VT; one grandson: Dustin Lundy, of North Andover; three brothers: Donald Carter and James Carter, both of Tewksbury; and Barry Carter, of Key Largo, FL; also many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM on Wednesday, October 6th, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society; 30 Speen Street; Framingham, MA 01701-9376.
