Dena Mae Pina, 54, of New Bedford died December 15, 2013 at Hathaway Manor Extended Care Facility after a period of declining health.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Anthony and Mae (Mendes) Pina, she lived in New Bedford most of her life.
She was a member of the International Church of the Nazarene.
Dena enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include a son, Christopher Pina of New Bedford; a daughter, Jamie Grace of New Bedford; 2 brothers, Michael Monteiro and his wife Melinda and Steven Monteiro and his wife Linda, all of New Bedford; a sister, Brenda Harrison and her husband Edmund of New Bedford; 2 grandchildren, Jordyn Medeiros and Nah'zair Pina; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
She was the granddaughter of the late Jennie and Edwin Perry.
Her Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 21st at 10 AM in the International Church of the Nazarene. Visiting hours are omitted.
