Cooksey, Sr. Beloved mother of Paula Boczkowski and her late husband William, Jr. of Chelsea, Martin Cooksey, Jr. and his wife Kelly of Middleton, Linda Roberts and her husband John, Sr. of Chelsea, David Cooksey, Sr. and his wife Kellie of Norton and Michael Cooksey of Chelsea. Daughter of the late Nicholas Tammaro and Rose Tammaro-Burke. Sister of Robert Burke of Hopkington, Virginia Milliken of Vermont, Elizabeth Havens of Texas, Joseph Burke of Randolph, James Burke of Chelsea, Gerald Burke of Mississippi, Nicholas Burke of Randolph and the late Jenny Gallant, John Burke and Marjorie Parsons. Step sister of the late Miriam Mullens, Catherine O'Connor, Alice Rimcus, Teresa Attardi, William Burke, Helen MacAfee and Ester Way. Cherished grandmother of Erica Smith and her husband James of Medford, William Boczkowski III and Nicole Boczkowski both of Chelsea, William Cooksey and his wife Nicole of Lynn, Danny Cooksey of Middleton, Kristina Roberts of Chelsea, John Roberts, Jr. of Revere, David Cooksey, Jr. and Amber Cooksey both of Norton and Shae Cooksey of Chelsea. Also lovingly survived by her great grandchildren Noah Cooksey and Kendall Smith as well as many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Smith Funeral Home, 125 Washington Avenue, CHELSEA on Friday, December 20th at 10 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Rose Church, 600 Broadway, Chelsea at 11 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Smith Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Mary's name may be made to St. Rose Church.
Born in Revere and a resident of Chelsea for most of her life, Mary passed away at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers Sunday afternoon at the age of 82.
