Mary Eloise Braziel, age 96, died Friday, December 13, 2013 at the Irwin County Hospital in Ocilla, GA.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Monday, December 16, 2013, at the Irwinville Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Cummings and the Rev. Wayne McCrimmon officiating. Interment will follow in the Irwinville Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 7:00 – 9:00 PM Sunday, December 15, 2013 at the Paulk Funeral Home in Ocilla, Ga.
Eloise was born November 23, 1917 in Turner County, GA to the late Thomas Dave Beaty and Cora Parham Beaty. She was a member of Irwinville Baptist church for, seventy-five years, where she was the oldest living member; and has been a part of the community most of her life; She taught Sunday school at Irwinville Baptist Church for over sixty years; also Bible Study at the Osceola Healthcare in Ocilla until three weeks ago, when she had to give it up, due to declining health.
She is survived by three sons: Joe and Mary Braziel of Irwinville, Tommy and Kay Braziel of Irwinville and Arthur L. Braziel and his companion: Jennie Allchin of Ocilla; a daughter: Mary Ann Davis of Waverly; seven grandchildren, Delaine and Dean Fitzgerald of Irwinville, Thomas and Jennifer Braziel of Fitzgerald, Lee and April Braziel all of Irwinville, Fred and Cheyenne Broome of Hot Springs, AR, Angie and David Williams of Waverly, Lacy Braziel of Albany; also eight great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lacy C. Braziel.
