Geraldine M. (Pizzi) Cordeiro, 87, of Franklin died December 13 in the Medway Country Manor.
She was the wife of the late Joseph Cordeiro who died in 2001.
Born in Franklin, January 20, 1926, the daughter of the late Antonio and Carmina (Messere) Pizzi, Mrs. Cordeiro was a lifelong Franklin resident.
Mrs. Cordeiro had been an assembler at the Whiting & Davis Company for 25 years before retiring.
Geraldine had been a member of the Sons of Italy, the St. Mary’s Catholic Women’s Club and she loved to travel.
Her greatest love was her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, JoAnn DeBaggis and her husband Michael of Westbrook, Connecticut, Debra Ayer and her husband John of Bellingham and Laurie Hally of Milford.
She is also survived by her brother Dominic Pizzi of Blackstone and Dora Baldassari of Walpole.
She is also survived by her 6 granddaughters, 1 grandson and 11 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday December 17 in St. Mary’s Church at Noon
Private burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
Visitation will be in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin on Tuesday from 10:00 - 11:45 a.m.
Due to flower restrictions at the National Cemetery the family requested donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
