Salisbury, Ma. - Theresa G. (Besner) Cutter 82, died Friday at Port Rehabilitation in Newburyport surrounded by her loving family.
Born February 13, 1931 at Rigaud, Quebec Canada, Theresa was the daughter of Francois DiSalle and Alice (Dufour) Besner. She came to the USA from Canada at an early age, and attended St. Ann's and Sacred Heart School in Lawrence, MA.
Theresa married James F. Cutter at St. Augustine Church January 27, 1951.
Theresa was a former attendant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Methuen until its closure.
For many years she worked at the former Western Electric in North Andover, and several small electronic assembly plants in the area.
She loved to play tennis at Troll Brook in Florida and enjoyed 45's games with her many friends. She was an accomplished cook, and the family would gather at the Lyndale Avenue home to enjoy her Sunday dinners and meet with one another. She loved her family and the holidays, and especially family occasions.
She is survived by her husband and best friend, James F. Cutter and their four children, Theresa and her husband Steven E. Thompson of Methuen, Kenneth of Burlington, MA, Francis of Freedom, NH and James F. Jr. of Methuen, grandchildren Steven J.Thompson of Methuen, James P. Thompson of Billerica, Charlotte K. Cutter of Newton, MA and Caitlin L. Cutter of Somerville, MA. She is also survived by her sisters Marguerite Theriault and her husband Emil J. of Methuen, and Marie Hundley of Palm Desert, CA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock in Our Lady of Good Counsel/St. Theresa's Church, 22 Plymouth St., Methuen, MA 01844.
Friends will be warmly received on Monday from 3-7 p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen, MA.
