HAVERHILL: Selina L. Mundo, 77, died, Wednesday, December 11, 2013 in the Merrimack Valley Hospice House with her devoted family by her side.
Born on August 10, 1936 in Stoneham, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Selina (Hall) Mundo. She was a resident of Stoneham for many years and a graduate of Stoneham High School. Selina had been a resident of Haverhill for the last fourteen years
Selina, sometimes also known as “Sally” had a flair for beautifully handwritten letters to her family and friends as well as making homemade cards to send on special occasions. She also loved doing crossword puzzles. Selina had a wonderful sense of humor, a keen memory for remembering significant dates and was always appreciative of all those with whom she came in contact with.
She is survived by her ten children, Kristopher B. Kuffel and his wife, Priscilla, Lynn M. Davis and her husband, Paul, Nicholas A. Kuffel and his girlfriend, Kara Gilroy, John B. Kuffel and his wife, Shalae, Claudia L. Freitas and her husband, Zachary, Charlotte A. Gagnon, Daniel A. Kuffel and his wife, Carla, Leah Grant and her husband, Michael, Corey L. Kuffel and Jennifer J. Lunna and her husband, Stephen; 27 grandchildren, Amy, Jacquelyn, Michael, Carmelo, Pilar, Travis, Aaron, Faith, Rachael, Zachary, Matthew, Alexander, Laura, Valerie, Natalie, Stephanie, Emilie, Joshua, Austin, Tyler, Sarah, Michelle, Anthony, Sierra, Veronica, Cassandra and Shania; eleven great-grandchildren, Brian, Kaeden, Richard, Lillian, Olivia, Kayla, Elijah, Garrett, Alana, Adell, Ellis, and Pippi; three brothers, Albert Mundo and Paul and Peter Curran; her long-term friend of sixty-six years, Joan (Allen) Sadowski and her husband, Paul; her former husband, Donald M. Kuffel and his wife, Priscilla. She was also predeceased by her infant great-grandson, Justice; four brothers, Charles, James and Bernard Curran and William Mundo; one sister, Alice (Foye) Curran.
Visiting hours for Selina will be held on Saturday in the Linnehan-Grondin Funeral Home, 52 Salem Street, Bradford from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Interment will be privately held at the request of Selina’s family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Baker-Katz Nursing Home, c/o Patient Activity Fund, 194 Boardman Street, Haverhill, MA 01830.
