Campbell, Jesse Dean, 75, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris, and siblings, Edward, James, Eloise, Ida and John Paul. He is survived by his son, Jeff Campbell (Vicki); grandchildren, Jeremy Campbell (Jenny) and Amie Vaughn (Ryan); great-granddaughter Jenna Campbell and Baby Vaughn on the way; siblings, Sidney and Louise; and a multitude of friends. Jesse owned various businesses, including Campbell Construction and Southend Liquors. He was an avid racer and a member of the KY Motorsports Hall of Fame. Jesse was also a member of the ASA (softball) Hall of Fame. His funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., followed by burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to JDRF (Team Jenna's Bears).
