Mrs. Jeannett A. (Straughan) Perreault, a resident of Andover since 1964 and beloved wife of the late Robert Perreault, died at her home on Sunday, December 8, 2013. She was 91 years old.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, on October 12, 1922, she was the beloved daughter of the late Jesse B. and Aurore (Lamarche) Straughan. Jeannette was a graduate of Chelmsford High School, class of 1940 and the University of New Hampshire, class of 1952. She also was a graduate of the UNH Graduate School, class of 1953. Jeannette was a WWII Army veteran. She worked as a teacher assistant at UNH for many years and also was employed at the State House in Industrial Accidents. Jeannette was a very active person for her entire life and had volunteered as a Girl Scout Camp Councillor, was a communicant of St. Augustine Church of Andover and was a member of the Franciscan's Third Order.
She will be very sorely missed by her loving children; Mark and his wife Mary Perreault of Phillipston, Roberta M. and her husband Jack Sullivan of Haverhill and Francesca and her husband Merrill Rouff of Andover, brothers; Frank and Steve Straughan of Pelham NH, sister; Mary Bedard of Rye, New Hampshire, grandchildren; Katherine and Peter Rouff and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held in the Gibson Cemetery, Pelham, New Hampshire, on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at 10 AM. Several relatives and friends attended. A Memorial Mass followed the burial at 10:30 AM in St. Patrick Church, 12 Main St., Pelham, NH.
