DARTMOUTH…Florence Eva (Reynolds) Souza, 73, of Dartmouth died Sunday, October 03, 2004 at home with her family by her side after a long and courageous battle of lung cancer. She was the widow of Antonio Souza, Sr. and was known to many as “Auntie Flo”.
Born in Dartmouth, daughter of the late Clyde F. and Alberta M. (De Moranville) Reynolds, she had been a life long resident of the town. She had worked for many years as a folder for the former Cameo Curtains of New Bedford alongside her mother as the first mother and daughter team.
She was a member of the Paskamansett Engine Company Woman’s Auxiliary since 1970. She was known for her yard sales and her love of making arts and crafts. She was always doing a good deed for someone. Mrs. Souza enjoyed her weekends by having her family share Sunday dinners and playing cards together.
She is survived by 1 son: Clyde Souza of Dartmouth; 4 daughters: Sandra Tavares and her husband Thomas and Penny Catanho and her husband Valentino of Dartmouth and Lisa Deane and her husband Kevin of New Bedford and Lori Souza of Fall River; several grandchildren including: Scott Tavares, Ashley and Brandi Deane and Jacob Souza; A sister: Brenda Fernandes and her husband James of Lakeville; several nieces and nephews; she was the mother of the late Antonio Souza, Jr.

Funeral service on Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at 10 A.M. at the Kirby Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Dartmouth
